You are welcome to download and evaluate COES at your leisure with no time limitation.  This evaluation version is fully functional but is limited to 3 patients with printing, copying and exporting of reports disabled. Please follow the following steps to download and install COES.
 

1. DOWNLOAD COES IN STAGES
Download all of the following files to a temporary directory.
• Coesetup.zip  (File size 1,403 KB)
• Coesetup.w02 (File size 1,420 KB)        NOTE: If you are using Netscape and are having problems
• Coesetup.w03 (File size 1,420 KB)        try RIGHT-clicking on the file and choose "Save Link As..."
• Coesetup.w04 (File size 1,420 KB)
• Coesetup.w05 (File size 1,420 KB)
• Coesetup.w06 (File size 1,260 KB)

2. DOWNLOAD THE COES UPGRADE FILE
Download the following file to a temporary directory.

• Coes.zip (File size 310 KB)


3. INSTALLATION OF COES

1. Unzip the zip files into the temporary directory.
2. Run the file "COESETUP.EXE" from your temporary directory and follow the online setup wizard instructions.
3. During setup, when you get to the “Select Components” screen, please ensure that you have selected the first option “Install new patient database/overwrite existing”. You only need to select the “Install 16-bit OLE files” option if you are running Windows 3.11.
4. After completing the above, please copy the file COES.EXE from the temporary directory to the COES installation directory (typically found under “/Program Files/COES3” or similar) and overwrite the existing file. This will upgrade to the most recent version of the COES software.
5. Once you have installed COES it is important to ensure that your system date settings are in the correct format. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Go into the start menu and choose the settings option.
• Select Control Panel.
• Open the Regional Settings icon to bring up the Regional Settings Properties screen.
• Select the Date tab.
• In the Short Date Style box, change the settings to display the year as 4 digits (eg yyyy instead of yy).
• Click Apply and then OK to close this window.
• When using COES always enter the year as 4 digits to avoid Windows assuming the year is 2000 instead of the intended 1900 year.

Your installation of COES is now complete!
